SYNOPSIS
1825, dans l’Australie sous domination anglaise. Après avoir purgé sa peine, Clare, une jeune bagnarde irlandaise, va bientôt pouvoir vivre librement auprès de son mari et de son bébé. Mais son officier de tutelle n’en a pas fini avec elle: rossée et laissée pour morte, Clare assiste impuissante au massacre de sa famille par des soldats britanniques. A son réveil, au bord de la folie, elle se lance à leur poursuite au travers des terres vierges de Tasmanie. Dans cette région sauvage et isolée, où les lois des hommes ne s’appliquent plus, elle ne reculera devant rien pour se faire justice.
