The New NFT Season
Description
NFT sales on the OpenSea marketplace are booming and could signal a renewal of the market and a new season for crypto art. As daily trading volumes on OpenSea rise to $200 to $250 million, it’s clear that another bull market is coming. The last time trading volumes were this high, it was August and September of 2021. Currently, these trends are being driven by Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club. Plus, Monday was OpenSea’s busiest day ever. Bored Ape has flipped CryptoPunks, and it is garnering more attention from celebrities and partners, including Jimmy Fallon, Post Malone, and Snoop Dogg. Recently, rapper Takeoff also said he has purchased from both Bored Ape and Snoop Dogg. The floor for Bored Ape sat at 77.9 Ethereum while CryptoPunks sat at 60.95 Ethereum. At press time, Ethereum was trading at just over $3100, up over 3% on a 40% increase in volume.
