A woman who says she’s “allergic to everything” has revealed how she gave up all fruits and vegetables four years ago and now lives on nothing but meat.
Karolina Nowak, 29, from London, UK, said: "I started the lion diet four years ago.
"Vegetables started giving me headaches, and I started only eating meat."
She says that since cutting everything other than meat from her diet, she has no more health issues.
Karolina said she used to have small stroke-like changes in her brain from chronic migraines which left her in excruciating pain and sometimes hospitalised.
But since switching to a meat-only diet, she claims her pain levels have decreased by over 90%.
She has since launched an online platform to document the highs and lows of her unconventional lifestyle – from health improvements to the challenges of travel.
Finding food while abroad is especially tricky. Karolina said even a steak touching oil can trigger health complications for her.
Despite her difficulties, she is happy with her choice to give up everything but meat and doesn't plan on going back to a typical omnivorous diet anytime soon.
She explains: "When I started eating just meat, I had ups and downs, but it was not diet-related.
"My diet is the only thing that is stable in my life, it literally never changes.
"I managed to find a stake in the Paris airport, but it was not easy.
"I had to ask someone where to find stake and it made him laugh, he thought I was being posh but no, I'm just allergic to everything."
