Long Yao, or Dragon Kilns first appeared in the Shang Dynasty, but today, there's hardly any left. In Singapore, only two remain, and Thow Kwang Pottery is the only operational one. Project Director Yulianti is candid about the productive irrelevance of Dragon Kiln as technology advances, but shares how Thow Kwang sustains timelessly through a pivot to education and workshops, envisioning it as an artist platform.
