The Flats

A striking directorial debut, The Flats is a tightly crafted cautionary tale of longing and desire showcasing a uniquely Northwest voice. With a less than appealing verdict, the self-destructing Harper decides to make the most of the few days of freedom he is granted and moves in with his rag-tag group of friends. As his best friend Luke’s (Actor/Composer Sean Christensen, Eden) days are filled with the demands of a new job, Harper finds unexpected comfort in Luke’s new girlfriend, Paige (Jade Herrera, Tortilla Soup, Doe Boy, Felicity), who has returned to the area in search of her Native American roots. Filmed in Washington’s picturesque Skagit Valley, The Flats exposes an honest and moving account of friendship, desire and the struggles encountered on the road to adulthood.
