The fight for Sirte

Heading for battle in Sirte, the hometown of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
There is optimism as they brace for the fight

As they edge ever closer to one of the last loyalist bastions in Libya there are reports of heavy shelling.
Failure to capture the remaining pro-Gaddafi towns comes as a new government is trying to exert its control over all of Libya
In Sirte, NTC forces are making progress but have still been held back after three days of heavy fighting.
Scores of people have been wounded in the battle.
On Sunday doctors reported that two NTC fighters were killed. On Saturday more than a dozen were killed.
