The Facts About Pipelines

Enbridge operates the largest and most complex liquids pipeline system in the world. We’re proud of what we do – helping to provide reliable energy to many millions of people across North America every single day. Over the last decade we’ve transported almost 12 billion barrels of crude oil with a safe delivery record better than 99.999 per cent. That’s good, but for us, it’s not good enough. We will never stop striving for 100 per cent.

Operating a complex pipeline system is by its nature a challenging business. This is not new. Enbridge employees have successfully met these challenges for 60 years – by placing safety at the heart of our operations. We constantly strive to do better.
