The Departed

To put an end to the reign of Godfather Frank Costello, the police infiltrate his gang. They choose Billy Costigan, a rookie from the slums, for the mission. At the same time, another newcomer, Colin Sullivan, join’s the police’s Special Investigation Unit, which is charged with eliminating Costello. None of his colleagues are aware that Colin has been prepped to work “undercover” and inform Costello of the operations being devised against him. With the perpetual risk of having their covers blown, Billy and Colin are subject to constant stress and forced to lead double lives, which eventually makes them lose their bearings.
