The Caesar salad was made famous in Tijuana
Description
The infamous Caesar salad may not have been created in Italy or named after the ill-fated Julius Caesar. The dish was made famous in Tijuana, Mexico, during the prohibition era. Caesar Cardini opened a restaurant there to draw American tourists. It’s said that, on busy nights, he threw together ingredients he had on hand — and from there, the Caesar salad was born.
