Healing the Blind Man (Making the blind man see) At the city gate, a blind man groped his way forward, with exhaustion from the long darkness on his face. Hearing Jesus passing by, he hurriedly cried out for help. The crowd tried to keep him quiet, but he shouted even louder. Jesus stopped and walked towards him. The blind man's hand trembled as he stretched out, as if the air had frozen silent. Jesus gently touched his closed eyes. In an instant, the blind man took a deep breath, as if a sharp pain had streaked across his eyelids. The light rushed into his world like the first dawn. He opened his eyes, and colors and Outlines flooded into his field of vision like an explosion. The crowd held their breath, waiting for the result. The blind man's face was first confused, and then joy gushed out like a flood. "I saw..." He choked up and said. The crowd burst into exclamations, but Jesus just smiled quietly.
