Thardeep Rural Development Programme (TRDP)

TRDP’S Natural Resource Management (NRM) unit, established in 2004, works with community organizations to develop mechanisms interventions and strategies for preserving, conserving and caring for the environment by preventing desertification and deforestation in the arid zones of Sindh. The NRM unit has developed protected demonstration areas in gauchers (common grazing range lands) and on private pieces of land to demonstrate how natural resource management is mutually beneficial for livestock and the ecology.
