Thai Rocket Fail

This rocket launch in rural Thailand didn't go to plan - and it ended up fizzling out on the ground. The tradition festival in Yasothon province takes place every year and sees home made rockets fired into the air. But when this device was stuffed full of gun powder and lit, it briefly started spinning before dropping to the ground. The rocket's builder, Kitti Pasuk, said: ''It took a long time to prepare the rocket. I'm so disappointed. I'll repair it and try again next time.''
