Ted Sheridan - *Portabella

Milady winked at him; two of her remaining teeth
falling from the dark space of her oral cavity.
Her eyes, rotten with crab apple schnapps and gin,
they all drank like sailors, been put ashore for ten.

A plastic bag of magic shrooms entered the room
in the plaid flannel pocket of a very rich bag lady, ala carte.
Truly a woman with a plan, who knew how to satisfy any man…,
Old Alice she blew the bartender with a naked Cheshire smile

Then with concentrated effort; left him gazing for awhile
Into the tunneled eyes of the renowned Mad Hatter….who had
just escaped through a rabbit hole in the nick of time…
before the Queen of Hearts could satisfy the King’s desires…
