once
she came to me…then
she sang to me…then
that I was her chosen one

we were bold
naked, let go
and
turning the day
to
night

but
she flees in me…what
she sees in me…what
we wish for can never be won

so we’re told
never let
go on
so I hold you
to
night

still
she waits for me…but
she wails for me…but
we’ve nothing before to become

gifts turn old
you turn to
go out
giving them all
to
night

now
she swears at me…when
she tears at me…when
there’s so much that we have undone

will we hold-
never let
go- on
as we pass on
to
night
