Teacher has a Creative Classroom Defense Solution

Info from Licensor: After a recent school shooting here in Michigan, I felt like I should do something to make my high school classroom as safe as possible. And I know that this is not the way things should be in the US, but it is the way things are. I can’t control the gun laws, mental health, technology, or toxicity in our country, but I can try to control what’s within the four walls of my classroom. This video has sparked a lot of great discussions about gun violence from people all over the world. It has reinforced the idea that school shootings are almost exclusively an American problem. It all came full circle when a student from Oxford (the school I mentioned earlier) messaged me saying thank you for giving my students something more than pencils and calculators should there ever be an emergency. That really meant a lot to me.
