Task force recommends coercive control be made a criminal offence in Qld

A new domestic violence report has recommended the Queensland government make coercive control a criminal offence but say it should be introduced in a staged approach, meaning the laws wouldn't take effect until 2024. The report also criticises the Queensland police service's response to victims, saying harmful cultural problems exist within the force.
