Tara Sneed - Dad's Hands

I've known for quite some time
That dad's hands were always mine
His big and strong
Mine little and weak
His just the right size to pat my cheek.

I've know for quite some time
That dad's hands weren't soft and fine
Toughened and hard
Maybe a callous or two
Never, ever too hard to lift you.

He had the hands
That rolled the Yahtzee dice
He had the hands
That would release the mice
And yet those hands
Stay always with me....

When dad's hands...give me to the husband- to- be...
