I was too busy doing what i wanted to,
I had no time to notice you.
In a hurry, i use to rush by,
always failing to notice a small tear trickling down your eye.
It was 12am and i still hadn't come home,
you kept trying my cell just to get a busy tone.
When i came back, 'leave me alone' was all i said,
and slammed my bedroom door and went straight to bed
I never bothered to apologise after any of our fight,
& slept soundly while you cried all night.
When i used to come back from college, you always asked me how was my day,
just to see me give a shrug and walk away.
I never noticed the smile you used to fake,
and i never saw any of your tears, your heartbreaks.
I know what i did was alot more than just a mistake,
but to make it right I'll do whatever it takes.
I wish that i could find a less cliche word for sorry,
all i want right now is for you to forgive me.
I know i never did the things you wanted me to,
but I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you.
