Tanorexic - I'm Addicted To Tanning

Sarah Willman is a mom of two who can’t stop tanning because she’s addicted to her bronzed Barbie doll look. She started tanning at age 14, friends called her Malibu Barbie, and now it's her identity. She suffers from low self-esteem and tans to feel better, even though she knows it is dangerous. Sarah, who is also a part-time model, uses sun beds for at least 20 minutes every day and becomes jittery and upset if she can't go. Her mum, husband and friends are too worried to ask her to quit, for fear of driving her away. Sarah says she does not want to become like Patricia Krentcil, and would never let her daughter use a sunbed.
