Syria shoots down U.S. drone: state media

Syria says that its forces shot down an unarmed U.S. drone over its airspace, marking the first incident of its kind... since the U.S.-led coalition warplanes began attacking Islamic State targets.
Syria's state-run broadcaster SANA first broke the news on Tuesday.
It said that an American surveillance plane was brought down along its western coast.
Video... purportedly of the debris was shown, but no exact details of its location or timing were released.
This as U.S. officials have all but stopped short of saying the aircraft was shot out of the sky.
Government sources cited by Reuters... confirmed that the U.S. military lost contact with one of its Predator drones over Syria.
However, authorities were said to be still trying to determine the cause of the alleged crash.
