Syria rebels capture Damascus airbase

Syrian rebels say they've seized an air defence base outside the capital Damascus.

Video footage uploaded to social media sites is said to show black smoke spiralling upwards from the base in the Eastern Gouta area.

Another video purportedly shows dozens of rebels celebrating the capture of what they claim is a cache of surface-to-air missiles.
