Syria: Kefraya and Alfora Battered by Extremist Attacks

Extremists have launched a terrorist attack and taken control of an area 3km southeast of the besieged city of Alfora in the north of Syria, where war planes of the Syrian army have responded with attacks. Local activists say that the towns of Kefraya and Alfora were hit by more than 2,000 shells over the past 24 hours. The attacks are seen as the most violent since a siege of the villages began two years ago. They come just after the 48 hour truce recently signed by the armed groups and the Syrian Army. Local groups call for international condemnation of the attacks. Hazem Abdullah reports from Damascus for teleSUR.
