sylvia spencer - A lost Friend

Description
but as I sat on the quay it blew into the sea.
I watched it fly with the tide, then disappear over the
great divide. I often wonderd why it left my book and
when it did all the pages shook. It may have been the
wind that came up from the sea which distracted me
from writing my poetry. I put the book mark into the page
and it was then it flew off in one fierce rage. That beautiful
book mark that I had since a child just up and went like
something wild. They say that the quay has a mistic tale
and sometimes it can blow a ghostly gale. One that will
last for only a short while but destroy everything within a mile.
My book mark did not catch the full strength of the gale
because I would have gone with it and could not have told
the tale.
