sylvia spencer - A Donkey Tale

The donkey held his head over the stable door
and he looked so sad because there was no hay on
the floor. He was cold and hungry and no one came to
his ade and he was almost sure that his heart would fade
Then he looked up and he saw a star light up the sky,
at once he knew that his life had been given another try.
The stable door opened in the light of the star and the
donkey followed the light but he did not know how far
he would walk but he just followed the star.
' Hello little donky' said a kind sweet voice can I ride
upon your back because I have no other choice.
The donkey bowed to the lady as she climbed upon
his back and they followed the star until they came to a shack.
The man that was with her was old and grey and he also
was tired because he had traveled a long way
In the shack the donkey found hay that was warm
and the lady had a child our saviour born.
