The score was four out of ten
But made up the rest up with charm
And topped it to a seven with manners
The two taken out for foolishness and dalliance

The remaining one, well let’s say...for room to grow
In all present and forecasted shortfalls….shadows and fear
whether from a one sided recount or reconciled account
Deficits and tears foreseen. Still we pursue

Yet so many have seen it before…game and bust!
Life happens, they said. Still they pursued
Then the wind came back, blowing holes
in pursuit bearing an evidential crown
