There are places I go to that you haven’t been
Many people I have known that you haven’t met yet
Where and with whom I have found it easy to be me
But there is one place I long to be…somewhere in your heart

There are heights in mountains that I climb for horizons to see
There are depths in the valley that meander least calm
Where my knees buckle and blisters cover my feet
But there is one haven I long to be…somewhere in your arms

There are tendered lawns and dark forests with their charm
Whose grass caress my feet and green foliage shield the rain
But there is one place whose embrace deafens the storm
Nowhere I would rather be but in your arms listening to the rain
