Sydney La Roche - Agony

Agony lasts an eternity.
It dims with time but never dies,
Like heiroglyphs adrift in time.

Bitterness lasts for infinity.
Once a soul's left cold, no fire survives.
Our flesh becomes stone. Expired inside.

Biting writing written in stars.
Venomous voices in my heart.
Each glowing grain, a body part,
Decaying deep into the dark.

Agony greys like skies of blue.
Bodies stomp through love and thought,
Leaving aftertastes that can't be fought.

Wounded hearts will not renew,
Gashes scab and minds shut down,
But every stab remains renowned.

The river unstirring remains distilled.
Rocks fall. Ripples bite the air like teeth.
The waves die down. The disturbance is killed,
But the rocks will always lie beneath.

An endless dream, so bittersweet.
Your heart will be forever weak,
In agony.
