pretty smiles and pretty lies
keep the truth about the times
from bleeding out
but yet we know

hush baby don't you cry
everything will be just fine
oh no it won't
unless we change

oh we're
waiting for
waiting for
the long-awaited crash
that beautiful head-on collision
with the monster we've created
an explosion of our past
the crash

oh
waiting for the crash
that brings the world to their knees
crying out for something
that's been there all along

though there will be few
that have sought and found
that savior to the earth
to the world
to life

while the rest are face down
in awe of
the crash
