Ditzy, ditzy, woe is me
Life isn’t what I thought it would be

Feet in the air
Head on the ground
Everything seems upside down

Oh, yes, said mother
You will see
You’re going no farther
A failure you will be

Fleeing the nest
I tried my best
Mother’s words put to the test

I flew, I stuttered,
I grew, I spread,
Turning upside down
I became toast of the town

Ditzy, ditzy, egad it’s really me
My life is exactly what I wanted it to be
