Sushmita Sen - Biography

Sushmita Sen, born on 19th November 1975, at hydrabad, is an Indian actress, model. She is the daughter of Shubeer and Subhra, and has a sister Neelam and brother Rajeev.

Sushmita Sen was crowned Femina Miss India in the year 1994 and in the same year she became the first Indian to win the Miss Universe title.

Sushmita Sen has modeled for many reputed brands and is a partner in Tantra Entertainment Pvt Ltd - a company which handles- ‘I Am She’ Miss Universe Contest.

Sushmita Sen has a very bold, modern image and she has adopted two girl children- Renee in the year 2000, and Alisah in the year 2010. She has been linked up with actor Randeep Hooda, director Mudassar Aziz, ad film maker Manav Menon and Sanjay Narang.

Sushmita Sen made her debut in the year 1994, in a film Dastak and has acted in films like Zor, Sirf Tum, Hindustan Ki Kasam, Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai, Aankhen, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Filhaal, Vaastu Shastra, Do Knot Disturb, Dulha Mil Gaya, No Problem, Main Hoon Na.

Sushmita Sen has won numerous awards for her exemplary performance in Bollywood. She has an independent streak and does not hesitate to break the norms set down by society in case she feels it is correct.
