Can’t understand
These feelings
Jealousy,
Betrayal
Isolation.

Should be proud,
Am proud
What they’re doing
Is good
All the things
I tried to teach them.
Now it backfires.

They think I am strong,
Don’t need them.
But I do,
More than they’ll ever know.
They are all in this life
That truly belong to me
Yet I must let them go.

Friends,
Lovers,
Children,
Why is it
That the
Final equation
Is always
Love = pain?
