SurfEXPLORE Sierra Leone - Surf

In May 2014 the SurfEXPLORE team travelled to the Turtle Islands, a remote archipelago off the coast of Sierra Leone in West Africa. Seldom explored or visited by foreigners, these mysterious and fascinating islands are home to one of the most ancient traditional cultures in Africa. On the first ever recorded surf exploration on the islands the team uncovered some fine sandbars and long peeling waves.
