Supreme Court Rules Against Census Citizenship Question

According to Reuters, the US Supreme Court upheld a decision to remove a citizenship question from an upcoming census questionnaire.
Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the 5-to-4 ruling, stating that they sided with a lower court's decision from January.
A group of states, including New York, challenged the citizenship question with the help of immigrant rights organizations.
Chief Roberts also wrote that the Trump administration's reason for adding the question was contrived.
