Sunset Tide - Love hurts

the clouds cleared
to give way to sunshine
i felt the warmth
outside and inside
felt different but felt good
for i knew, i knew
i was in love

her smile so innocent
her talks so kiddish
enjoyin evry moment
captivated in her presence
felt like evrythin
as i wished, i wished
tat she loved me too

i decided to tell her
after i achieved
laurels in my life
so tat i cud
keep her happy always
for i hoped, i hoped
tat she wud wait

distance seperated
body and soul
as i walked thru my decision
to come up in life
with her sweet thoughts
i waited, i waited
for days to fly by

one day, she said she loved
not me but someone
more wonderful and nice
coz she was tired
of waiting for me
and she thought, she thought
she deserved someone better

the sun was still high
spreading its warmth
but inside i felt
cold and painful
for i lost my love
and i longed, i longed
for a shoulder to cry

unable to cry
and no friends to comfort
longing for my mother's lap
my dreams, my hopes and
my love failed
as i am, i am
cupid's ugly duckling...
