Designer Michael Kors brings the beach to the city with his latest collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

Models in bright popping colors lit up his runway - embodying optimism and his beloved Californian weather.

"These are clothes that - you know, have kind of a big city polish and sophistication to them but the colors and the mood, a lot of it really comes from all the time that I spend on the West Coast."

The veteran designer says he hopes his clothes will cure the winter blues.
