1 Views • Feb 23, 2016
Description
Due to a lack of awareness, many of todays children are frequently over exposed to the sun’s damaging rays. Sun rays are the strongest between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Our nations teens and young adults, especially females, are exposing themselves to dangerous levels of UV rays- both from the sun and tanning beds. Tanning beds increase your risk of skin cancer by 75%.
Children need to learn about sun protection at an early age. Since UV damage is cumulative, childhood sun exposure can contribute to skin cancer at any time in their lives.
