Summer heat set to return _ 071018

Good morning, a monsoonal rain front has made its way to North Korea with up to 80 millimeters of rain expected there,... while here in South,... it will feel more like summer.

Upper regions will have highs rising 3 to 4 degrees higher compared to Monday while Daegu and surrounding regions will see highs soaring over by 10 degrees Celsius... into the low thirties.

Northern parts of Gyeonggi-do Province could see passing showers during the day while the rest will be under cloudy to partly sunny skies. Morning lows are kicking off slightly higher than yesterday at 21 degrees in Seoul, Daejeon, Busan. Gyeongju will notice a big jump in temperatures from 19 degrees to...

31 degrees by the afternoon, Daegu and Gwangju will be hot,... getting up to 32 degrees Celsius. Seoul at 28 degrees is right around at the seasonal averages.

The heat will get stronger through Friday and it's more likely some regions will have to deal with tropical nights.
