Sultry hourglass silhouettes from Mugler

Varnished and structured -- the silhouetted look of Mugler's spring/summer 2013 collection.

The fashion house's creative director, Nicola Formichetti says this season paid tribute to the cool, urban woman.

SOUNDBITE: Nicola Formichetti, Mugler Creative Director, saying (English):

"I think about my girlfriends and what they want to wear. You know, just a cool T-shirt, a cool shorts, a cool dress, something easy, you know."

It's Formichetti's fourth season with Mugler and the designer says he's now feeling more confident about the clothing, creating a show with the help of longtime client, Lady Gaga who mixed the hip hop tracks.

SOUNDBITE: Nicola Formichetti, Mugler Creative Director, saying (English):

"At the beginning we were looking for who the Mugler woman was. And you know, for me it was more about the fantasy and creation and with the help of Gaga, we did music together, it was very much about a show. And now we feel much more confident in the atelier."

The 34-year-old also moonlights as the fashion director for Vogue Hommes, Japan.
