Here's the very first trailer for the much-anticipated supervillain-centric movie "Suicide Squad," which recently premiered at Comic-Con over the weekend.
Set in the DC universe, the comic-book-based antihero spectacle envisions a special expendable mercenary team made of incarcerated supervillains, which includes Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Slipknot (Adam Beach) ... and of course, Batman's number one nemesis, The Joker (Jared Leto).
Generally assigned to dangerous black ops missions, the clandestine squad works under the supervision of mysterious government handler Amanda Waller (Viola Davis).
Written and directed by "Fury" and "End of Watch" filmmaker David Ayer, the film will tie in with Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" as Warner Bros strives to build a new superhero franchise based on DC Comic characters.
