Suicide by Dingbat?

I thought the firemen were doing some kind of drill. Then I saw them trying to hit a civilian with their water and he was trying to dodge them. I'm guessing he rigged something to the gas tank that he could ignite. He probably phoned the police himself as a cry for help.....I can't imagine any of the locals doing it for him...especially since he was safely in the middle of the park. I myself woulda just brought my lawn chair out. And as for the dingbats.....I don't know.
