Substation in Ephrata Explodes, Knocking Out Power for Thousands

An explosion took place at the Grant County PUD substation in Ephrata, Washington, on the evening of Wednesday, February 15.

The blast knocked out power for thousands of people in the Grant County area. Officials said a fault in the power line caused an explosion of sparks and several fires, local media</a> reported.
