Subashini Ravichandran - Turn Over A New Leaf

I sit down, I pace around
I close my eye lids
waiting for the day to end


Unwinding the hours that passed
The pauses and the fast forwards
fail to recognize the despair


leaving them to pile
cluttering the heart
and crushing the pipes


Take another stage, better times
it may seem pumped up,
too trivial to ponder on


But here and now, in the midst of
exits and pricks, where the lost
or the uncertain hold any spell
only the darkness lingers on


Now when the moon hides
behind the mysterious clouds
I await a miracle named tomorrow
to cradle in when the light appears
