Su-27 Combat

The Su-27 "Flanker" is a Soviet fighter aircraft, intended as a direct competitor for the new generation of American fighters, the F-14, F-15, F-16, and F/A-18. Sometimes eroneously confused with the Mig-29 or claimed to be the result of a competition between the Sukhoi and Mikoyan-Gurevich design Bureaus. Though Similar in appearance, the Su-27 is long-range air superiority fighter and interceptor, whereas the MiG-29 fills the role of short-range tactical support fighter.
