Student Molested in Broad Daylight in Hathras District

A disturbing incident of public harassment occurred in the Sikandrarao area of Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, when two female students returning from coaching classes were molested by men on a motorcycle.

The assault took place around 5:00 PM in the Naurangabad West neighborhood. Two men riding a motorcycle approached the students, inappropriately touched their faces, and quickly fled the scene. The entire incident was recorded by nearby CCTV cameras, and the footage has since spread widely across social media platforms.

Local residents have voiced serious concerns about the growing frequency of such incidents. Community members report that female students face regular harassment from perpetrators who appear undeterred by law enforcement presence. The brazen nature of this attack, occurring in broad daylight in a public area, has particularly alarmed residents.

These incidents persist despite the Uttar Pradesh government's Mission Shakti campaign, an initiative designed to protect women and girls from violence and harassment.

Law enforcement authorities have responded to the incident with urgency. Based on the CCTV evidence, police have identified the suspects and arrested one accused individual, Ankush, son of Naresh Chandra Upadhyay. Officials have assured the public that they will identify the second perpetrator shortly and that legal proceedings against both individuals are currently underway.

The case highlights ongoing challenges in ensuring women's safety in public spaces, even with increased awareness campaigns and governmental initiatives in place.
