Love is about the woman lying next to you in bed,
Love is about the person living inside your head,
Love is about succeeding in always being there,
Love is about retreating from that other woman’s stare,
Love is about believing that she’s better than she knows,
Love is about conceding and doing what your told,
Love is about what you see when you go to bed at night,
Love is about dreams that you see in plain sight,
Love is about lust from the beginning to the end,
Love is about trust that she’ll always be your friend,
Love is about aching for her to be where you are,
Love is about taking those chances that get you far,
Love is about hope that she won't break your heart,
Love is about the stroke of luck that helps you start,
Love is about smiles and laughter in the sun,
Love is about trials and through them having fun,
Love is about promises you made into her eyes,
Love is about apologies and cutting out those lies,
Love is about that first kiss with whiskey on your breath,
Love is about that last wish that you make upon its death.
