Description

A marathon-like storm continues to pound the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the third day in a row. Parts of Highway 12 are impassible because of flooding and sand dunes that have washed onto the highway. North Carolina Department of Transportation report that the highway likely will remain closed between the Marc Basnight Bridge and Rodanthe until possibly Tuesday morning, Nov. 19.
