Tara Ostrom, Associate Medical Director of OptumCare Primary Clinics and stroke survivor Michelle Nguye are here to talk about OptumCare’s “Strokes for Stroke” initiative. OptumCare, a network of doctors, advanced care providers, specialists and hospitals that work together to provide Medicare-eligible patients with personalized medical care, and the American Stroke Association have joined efforts to launch Strokes for Stroke art therapy & painting class. The Strokes for Stroke event encourages stroke survivors and their caregivers to participate in rehabilitation through art. The class is designed for all levels of stroke recovery and no previous painting experience is required.
