Stolen Face (1952) (Part 2)

Part 2 of the film noir thriller. Plastic surgeon Dr Philip Ritter meets Alice Brent, a gifted pianist one night at a country inn and falls in love with her. However, Alice is married and afraid to confess to him she leaves him one day, leaving him devastated. Meanwhile he is working on Lily Connor, a female convict who is brought to his surgery to reconstruct her face after she is disfigured. Still obsessed by Alice, he becomes convinced that altering Lily's face to that of Alice can help him get over her. But as he becomes determined to change the personality of Lily to that of Alice, little does he know what he is letting himself in for...

Starring Paul Henreid, Lizabeth Scott, Andre Morell, Mary MacKenzie, John Wood, Arnold Ridley, Susan Stephen, Diana Beaumont, Terence O'Regan, Ambrosine Phillpotts, Everley Gregg, Cyril Smith, Richard Wattis, Dorothy Bramhill, Janet Burnell, Alexis France and John Bull. On a sad side note, the actress playing Lily (Mary MacKenzie) would die just 14 years after this film, in a car crash aged just 44.
