Taking a quick look at the financial markets now...
U.S. stocks edged higher Tuesday on hopes the U.S. and China will return to trade talks.
Technology shares also managed to bounce back after a three-day losing streak.
Let's have a look at the figures....
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 108 points, or 0.4 percent, to close at 25,415.
The S&P 500 gained just over 13 and a half points, or half a percent, closing at 2,816.
The Nasdaq climbed about 42 points, or just over half a percent, to end the session at around 7,672.
Meanwhile, South Korean stocks also closed marginally higher on Tuesday as local firms reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings.
The benchmark KOSPI was up 1.75 points, or just under a tenth of a percent, to close at 2,295.
The KOSDAQ gained about 5.7 points, or two-thirds of a percent, finshing at 775.5.
