An escalating trade spat between the U.S. and other leading economies battered Wall Street on Monday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 328 points, or one-and-a-third of a percent, to 24,252, the S&P 500 lost 38 points, or almost one-point-four percent, to 2,717, and the Nasdaq dropped 160 points, or two-point-one percent, to 7,532.

Stocks closed nearly flat on Monday as gains from chemical and steelmaking shares offset losses from chips.
The benchmark KOSPI edged up less than a point, or three-hundredths of one percent, to close at 2,357-point-eight.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ was up six points, or zero-point-seven percent, at 836.
